Follow-up

Rechecks and follow-up appointments to support your pet's ongoing care

Managing your pet’s chronic disease requires regular check-ins to monitor progress, adjustments to treatments, and ensure the best possible outcomes. Sometimes the itch changes with the wind of the season. We are here to support those flare-ups.

Recheck Exam

At our clinic, we conduct examinations with our veterinary specialists to assess how your pet is responding to treatment. This visit allows for a discussion about your pet’s recent history, their progress, and whether adjustments to the personalized management plan are needed. The PetDerm team will discuss any additional diagnostics if needed to monitor your pet’s response to treatment.

Telehealth Recheck

A virtual consultation for pets who have already been seen in-clinic by one of our veterinary specialists. This is a convenient option for our clients out-of-town to review progress, discuss concerns and make the necessary treatment adjustments without a physical visit. A recheck intake form with relevant images must be submitted online at least 2 days prior to this appointment.

A virtual consultation doesn’t always replace an in-clinic recheck—while pictures can convey much, cytology provides a more complete understanding.

Patient Progress Update

A team member will respond within 3 business days to your update or minor questions about your pet’s care and progress submitted through the form. If your pet hasn’t had an in-clinic visit or telehealth update within the past 30 days, the form requires a payment for submission; alternatively, you are welcome to book a recheck appointment.

Your pet’s health is our priority, and regular follow-ups will help keep their treatment on track. If you’re unsure which appointment is right for your pet, feel free the reach out – we’re itching to help!
