Cardiology Services
When your pet is facing a complex or unexplained heart concern, having the right cardiology expertise by your side can make all the difference. PetDerm’s cardiology team, led by Dr. Lyndsay Kong, DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology) works collaboratively to evaluate and manage heart conditions in dogs and cats. Each visit begins with a careful physical examination, including listening for heart murmurs, assessing pulse quality and circulation, and checking for signs of fluid buildup. An echocardiogram is completed with a new consultation. When additional information is needed, our team may recommend diagnostic tests such as chest x-rays, ECG, or Holter monitoring. Throughout the process, we focus on clear communication to guide you through diagnosis, treatment options, and ongoing home care.
Cardiology Referral Process
We are now accepting referrals for Cardiology. You do not need to be a current patient of PetDerm to access Cardiology services. We do require a referral from your family veterinarian. Simply ask your veterinarian to complete our online referral form. Once it’s submitted, a member of the PetDerm team will reach out to guide you through the next steps.
